TWO GHOST HUNTS • TWO NIGHTS • TWO BREAKFASTS

Join Spooktacular Ghost Hunting Events for an unforgettable paranormal weekend in North Wales, investigating TWO incredible historic locations over two nights — Pen-y-Lan Hall and Chirk Mill.
Your £159 weekend package includes two ghost hunts, two nights’ optional accommodation at Chirk Bunkhouse, continental breakfast on Saturday and Sunday morning, unlimited tea, coffee and snacks at the bunkhouse and Saturday daytime completely free to relax or explore.
PEN Y LAN HALL IS ABOUT 3 MILES FROM OUR ACCOMMODATION AND CHIRK MILL IS ABOUT 300 METRES!
⚠️ LIMITED TO JUST 16 GUEST PLACES
👻 FRIDAY – PEN-Y-LAN HALL - 8PM–2AM
Hidden away within its own grounds near Ruabon stands the atmospheric Pen-y-Lan Hall.
This Grade II listed country house dates back to around 1690 and was substantially remodelled during the 19th century in a striking Tudor-Gothic style.
With centuries of history contained within its walls, the hall has attracted considerable interest from paranormal investigators.
Reports associated with investigations here include unexplained footsteps, disembodied voices and strange sounds, with previous investigators also reporting recordings apparently containing children’s voices, music and footsteps.
What will we discover when the doors close and our investigation begins?
FRIDAY SCHEDULE
🛏️ 5PM – Access to Chirk Bunkhouse
Arrive, choose your bed, settle in and grab something to eat before our first investigation.
🚗 Approximately 7:30–7:45PM – Leave for Pen-y-Lan Hall
👻 8PM–2AM – Ghost Hunt
Afterwards we’ll return to Chirk Bunkhouse for the night.
⚠️ IMPORTANT – PEN-Y-LAN HALL
Pen-y-Lan Hall has strict conditions regarding photography and filming.
Photographs or video footage depicting the interior of Pen-y-Lan Hall must NOT be published on social-media platforms including Facebook, TikTok and Instagram.
Live streaming from inside the property is also strictly prohibited.
All guests must respect these conditions.
🥐 SATURDAY MORNING
Wake up to a relaxed continental breakfast, including items such as:
🍞 Toast
🥣 Cereals
🥐 Pastries
🍎 Fruit
☕ Unlimited tea & coffee
Then Saturday daytime is completely yours!
Relax at the bunkhouse, wander into Chirk for food or shopping or explore the surrounding area. Chirk Castle is nearby and makes a fantastic option for anyone wanting to explore during the day.
👻 SATURDAY – CHIRK MILL - 8PM–2AM
Our second night takes us inside the wonderfully atmospheric Chirk Mill.
There has been a mill on this historic site for centuries, with records dating back to the early 1500s. Parts of the present building date from around 1780, and the mill was once part of the Chirk Castle Estate.
It continued operating into the 20th century and in 1924 a turbine was installed which generated electricity for Chirk.
The mill’s long history also contains tragedy, including stories of workers losing their lives following flooding and accidents. The story of a young boy named Evan John Evans, who reportedly drowned nearby and whose body was taken to the mill before an inquest, also forms part of its darker history.
👻 PARANORMAL ACTIVITY
Investigators have reported an extraordinary variety of unexplained activity throughout Chirk Mill.
The attic has become particularly notorious, with reports of children’s voices and singing, unexplained footsteps, a tall dark figure near the staircase and the apparition of a woman.
Elsewhere there have been reports of shadows, unexplained banging and knocking, equipment apparently responding intelligently and the apparition of a tall man wearing a top hat.
Even the grounds have produced reports of a mysterious male figure standing near an old oak tree.
With multiple floors, an atmospheric attic and dark cellar to investigate, Chirk Mill promises a very different second night.
SATURDAY SCHEDULE
