The date of the cottage is unknown but the name “Tanners” most likely originates from the Tanner (or le Tannere) family who owned this land between 1340 and 1530. The word “Hatch” refers to a gate in enclosed grounds, which in the Middle Ages were known as “Commons”.

Bunk Bed/ Dormitory style accommodation, you'll be required to share a room if you cannot fill it. Bedding included.

Parking: Please note , NO car park is at the cottage . The car park a short walk away through the woods . Don’t worry , Mart and Nicola will meet you all in the car park and will walk you through the woods up to the cottage
