The Pendle Witches Weekend Experience 26/03/2021-28/03/2021
Pendle Hill is a foreboding hill that looms over Lancashire’s former mill towns. But in the 17th Century, Pendle Hill was famous as the home of the Pendle Witches, ten of whom were hanged for dabbling in the dark arts.
Join us as we step back in time and take you on the journey of the Pendle Witches where we will be visiting all of the villages associated with the witches. The hamlets around Pendle Hill are alive with the stories of the witches who once roamed around this countryside.
These hamlets might now attract day tours like ours at the weekend but in 1612 they were gripped by the largest witch hunt in English legal history. It was a sinister episode that saw the arrest and execution of ten alleged witches and one which still holds a peculiar fascination for tourists and locals alike.
This is not a weekend to miss. . .
